My PLAB 1 test was on 15th November 2016. I studied for PLAB 1 for only 2 weeks. I studied from Samson’s notes and all I practiced were MCQs, lots of MCQs. I practiced from Samson’s mocks and 1700 MCQs file. I will admit here that I didn’t even finish the 1700 MCQs file completely.
The exam was quite tough for me. Every question seemed new to me. In fact, I underestimated the exam quite a lot. I didn’t manage my time properly as well.
When the result came, I had passed scoring 79%. I attribute all my successes to Allah (swt).
Tips for PLAB 1
Practice as many MCQs as possible. They are available on the PLAB Facebook group. Make good use of the time. Do study Samson’s notes.
And if you have time, go through important topics through Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine.
